The Chartered Accountants’ Livery took over Winchester for a weekend! Starting with Evensong and drinks in the Cathedral Pavilion gardens, the weekend continued with great tours of the historical College and Cathedral, a behind-the-scenes look at the Stonemasons’ Yard, and a fascinating tour of the City of England’s ancient capital.
The Hotel du Vin looked after everyone brilliantly and their beautifully-lit, tree-lined courtyard made the best setting for dinner, where we were joined by the Dean of Winchester. The only tension of the weekend was where to watch the football, but our dinner hosts even managed to set that up for us! All-in-all a great weekend surrounded by Livery members and friends, and we look forward to next year’s Master’s Weekend in Richmond-upon-Thames 15-17 July 2027.
