Career Development Workshop Series for Women in Technology
Organised by The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists for the Financial Services Group Liveries Join other FSG Company members for a series of three inspiring and empowering practical workshops. Created specifically for ambitious women in technology. The series focuses on the essential skills and strategies needed to effectively manage and advance your career. Learn from industry leaders, and connect with like-minded professionals during break-out sessions and take control of your career path. Event 1: Career Planning Date: Tuesday 5 November 2024 Time: 18:00 – 20:30 Workshop Overview: Our speaker, Kerri Mansfield JP, WCIT Master 23/24 will talk about how to be in control of your own career and share her experiences. Setting the scene for you to think about your career and how you want it to develop in the future. Starting her career with a secretarial course Kerri found her way to working in IT. She has worked independent transformation consultant across projects as disparate as start-up companies and global banks. Her lockdown role was communications across 11 cloud based projects covering a staff of 140,000 across 36 countries. She is also a magistrate and is currently the Master of WCIT. Following this we will have a guided interactive session where you will have time to think about your own path, and where it might be headed in the short, medium and long term. Working in small groups we’ll use the Do, Be, Have, Give model to help you structure your thinking. You’ll also have the opportunity share honest insights and experiences with peers addressing the realities of the challenges faced by women in advancing in their careers. We’ll close the evening with a chance to network and build connections with fellow attendees.
