Tour of Chartered Accountants’ Hall with the ICAEW President
Tour One Moorgate Place, also known as Chartered Accountants' Hall, with guide Malcolm Bacchus, a WCCAEW Court Assistant, and longstanding Livery Company member. Malcolm became ICAEW President in June of this year, and it is probably fair to say that few people know more about the history of the building than he does. This will be a very special evening. One Moorgate Place is a grade II listed building which opened in 1893. It has a range of diverse spaces that can accommodate a number of event requirements. Opulent rooms such as the Main Reception Room and Members’ Room remain true to the building’s historical and cultural heritage, while the Great Hall and range of contemporary and modern rooms are perfect for conferences and business meetings. As you venture through One Moorgate Place, you will appreciate the creative engineering work of the original architectural style and building design. With extensions and updates taking place throughout its history, there is a strong art-deco feel in some areas which juxtaposes the original features. Following the tour you are invited down for drinks in the the OMP Club in the basement of the building. You are also welcome to join the group at an optional supper nearby. There is no charge for the tour, but you will have to cover the cost of any food and drink you have. Pleaces are limited so please reserve your place below.
