Your chance to see the Livery Treasures up close!

During our Company’s comparatively short life to date we have been fortunate in building up a significant collection of silver and other treasures, thanks to the generosity of many Past Masters, other Members and friends. Much of it is used at our Dinners. Michael will tell us about their history, what the motifs mean and their symbolic use.

One of our earliest gifts is the Company’s Mace, the head of which is detached and placed before the Master at dinner.

Michael is now entrusted with looking after our Treasures including amongst other things keeping an inventory, inspecting them regularly and valuing them for insurance purposes!

This promises to be a fascinating talk and during the evening you will have the chance to hold some of the treasures under the watchful eye of our Beadle!
