Vicky has travelled extensively, visiting 4 continents outside Europe. But one of her most memorable trips was a visit to St Kilda, off the west coast of Scotland, in 2019.
St Kilda is an archipelago, some 40 miles west of the Outer Hebrides. It is the UK’s only dual UNESCO World Heritage Site – something that only 39 sites in the world can claim. The distinction has been awarded because of St Kilda’s natural and cultural heritage.
Vicky will share with us the highs and lows of her own trip, including the challenges of actually getting there. She will also tell us about the history, prehistory, nature and geology of the islands.
This event is free to attend – see flyer/email for zoom joining details.
