All of the City Livery Companies support the City and its Lord Mayor both in maintaining its traditions and supporting its charitable projects. Our Charity is pleased to offer regular, annual support to the following charities and Liverymen are invited to participate whenever possible.
Support for our City
St Paul's & City Churches
For the last few years, the Charity has given a grant to St Paul’s Cathedral for their Orchestral Mass. This event has proved to be so popular that it is now a standing engagement in the calendar. This year’s event will be held on June 30. There is no charge for attendance so please do come along.
City Harvest and the Livery Food Initiative
London was facing a humanitarian crisis with food poverty increasing. So in September 2022 the Livery Charity Chairs Group (LCCG) decided to collaborate to do something about this and in December 2022, the Livery Food Initiative (LFI) was launched with the support of the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs.
The aim of LFI was to raise funds for City Harvest, the amazing charity that rescues food going to waste and delivers it to 375 charities across London. £190,000 would enable a van to run for three years, delivering food for over two million meals.
We are delighted to have been part of this initiative giving a grant of £10,000 in 2023 and a further grant of £5,000 so far in 2024.
