DESCRIPTION:The United Guilds’ Service (UGS) was first held in February 1943 as a coordinated response to the challenges faced by the City of London following the Blitz of 1940-41. \nIt was also a reminder of the religious origins of the Guilds. The first service was held on Lady Day – 25th March 1943 – the first day of the year by the old calendar. \nThis annual service held at St Paul’s Cathedral is one of the few occasions in the Livery calendar at which all the Livery Companies and Guilds of the City can gather together as a whole – it is always a spectacular occasion\, and one not to be missed if you haven’t attended before. \n\nLunch following the United Guilds’ Service – Stationers’ Hall \nThe Master and Wardens of the Stationers’ Company are delighted to invite you and your Liverymen to join them at Stationers’ Hall for Lunch\, following the United Guilds’ Service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday\, 20 March 2026. \nDrinks will be served from 12.30 pm in the Court Room\, followed by lunch in the Hall and Stock Room at 1.00 pm. Lunch will consist of three courses with red and white wine; a glass of port will also be served. \n\n10.45am – all ticket holders must be seated\n11.15am – service starts\n12.15pm – service finishes\n12.30pm – drinks\n1pm – lunch \nTickets: Access to the service is free of charge\, but please reserve your place below as each Company is allocated a limited number of tickets.\nLunch at Stationers’ Hall is £86.50 \nPlease book below where possible.\nIf unable to book online then please contact Clare Ferrar on clareferrar@accountantslivery.org \nBuy Tickets HERE

The first service to be conducted was held on Lady Day – 25th March 1943 – the first day of the year by the old calendar. \nThis annual service is held at St Pauls Cathedral is one of the few occasions in the Livery calendar at which all the Livery Companies and Guilds of the City can gather together as a whole – it is always a spectacular occasion\, and one not to be missed if you haven’t attended before. \nWe have a small number of seats available for the service\, and for lunch at Stationers’ Hall after the service (you may attend the service without attending the lunch).
