SUMMARY:Curry Night at The Oriental Club
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand\, we have scheduled our second curry night of the year at The Oriental Club\, the well-known private members’ club in the West End. \nFollowing the success of the January event\, the Oriental Club Secretary has kindly provided the Library and Anteroom again for a private dinner and drinks reception\, limited to 30 of our Members and their guests.  Like last time\, the Chef has designed a special curry menu for the evening\, providing a choice of meat and vegetarian dishes. \nThe Oriental Club was founded in 1824 by British officers and officials posted overseas and has had many famous members.  It is still thriving with a library and art collection\, as well as a well-stocked bar and restaurant\, plus almost 3\,000 members.  There will be a brief tour of the Clubhouse before dinner. \n  \n\nTickets: £80 per person (invoiced after booking) to include a three-course meal and welcome drink\nTickets are limited to four per member \nPlease book below\nor email Clare Ferrar on clareferrar@accountantslivery.org who can book for you \nDress: Smart business attire\nTime: 6.30pm for 7pm\nAddress: Stratford House\, Stratford Place\, W1C 1ES

SUMMARY:Festival of St. Cecilia Service and Lunch
DESCRIPTION:Join together at Westminster Abbey to celebrate the value of music.\nThe Festival of St. Cecilia has been the flagship event in Help Musicians’ calendar since 1946. It is a key moment for us to come together to celebrate what music brings to all of us\, and to mark the contribution that musicians make to our lives. \nThis year\, the combined choirs of Westminster Abbey\, Westminster Cathedral and St Paul’s Cathedral will unite to perform under the direction of James O’Donnell\, the Abbey’s Organist and Master of Choristers. \nThe service will premiere a specially created anthem by composer\, Nico Muhly\, and we are privileged to welcome Help Musicians Ambassador Lesley Garrett CBE and Musicians Company Master Jeff Kelly for spoken contributions. The service will also include music from clarinettist Josh Pyman\, who the charity has supported. \nThe service will be held at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday 23 November 2022\, starting at 11am\, and will be followed by an optional lunch. \n\nMore details of how to book coming soon. \n
